Zine-making workshop!

3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
In this daily workshop, we’ll be making zines and printing them on a risograph (a giant stencil duplicator from 2008).
“What are zines??” you might be asking. Zines are homemade DIY magazines. Just like magazines, they can be about pretty much anything—you can make a zine about how to bake bread, or a zine with poems in it, or one a comic book, or a zine where you rank breakfast foods from best to worst...
Students will write with typewriters, collage from old newspapers and magazines, draw, and work digitally to make zines. Each student will have the chance to print at leaset one of their zines on Somehow School’s in-house risograph. They’ll also be able to print as many as they’d like in full color on our laser printer. Each student will recieve 15 copies of each zine they create.
